The Social Security Administration may pay disability benefits for multiple myleoma in 2025. The disease is considered as a type of cancer under Listing 13.07.

Here are the criteria for an automatic disability award for multiple myleoma:

  •   Your multiple myeloma continues to progress even after a full course of treatment;

  • OR --   You have had a stem cell or bone marrow transplant within the past 12 months.

Even if you don't meet the Listing criteria you may still get benefits if your condition prevents you from working.

Here are the medical documents you need to submit to Social Security:

  1. Results of a full physical examination

  2. A diagnosis of multiple myeloma;   Complete blood count (CBC);   Serum or urine protein electrophoresis (SPEP) to detect the level of various proteins in the blood;  and

  3. Antibody (Immunoglobulin) blood levels

If you need assistance filing a claim for multiple myleoma, please contact the Forsythe Firm in Huntsville, AL. An experienced attorney/advocate will guide you through the entire process. Free consultations and NO FEE until you get approved and receive your past due benefits (also called "back pay").
