HOW A GOOD ATTORNEY APPROACHES A DISABILITY CASE

A good attorney/advocate will usually follow these steps in helping you win your disability benefits:

1. We will get to know your individual situation. Each individual is unique and each case is unique. There is no "one-size-fits-all" formula.

2. We will discover all of your medical evidence. A lot of times, the key to winning a case lies buried under mountains of evidence--most of it of little importance--but with gems of proof hidden in the mass.

3. We seek which Social Security rules, regulations, grid rules, Listings or other rules support a finding of disability. We then use these to the claimant's benefit.

4. We start preparing for an appeal at the very beginning of our involvement. If possible, we will win the case without an appeal; however, we always have our eye on the appeal process because a vast majority of cases must go to appeal to win.

5. We will look for any legal and ethical way to speed up your decision. Most claimants have been without income for a very long time and they need Social Security money now. It isn't always possible to make the process shorter because we cannot control how fast the US government works. But when possible, we take advantage of opportunities to expedite the case.
