WHY SOME WIN AND SOME LOSE?

"My sister got approved for disability and she is much healthier than me. I was denied."


We hear this all the time. How come someone else got approved and my claim was denied?


There may be dozens of differences between your claim and someone else's.

  • Age difference

  • Difference in past work

  • Difference in education and training

  • Different medical history

  • Different doctors

  • Different judge hears the case

  • One persons meets a grid rule, the other does not

  • One claimant met a Listing, the other didn't.......

I could go on and on.....and on.


Ultimately, it makes no difference why someone else got approved and you didn't. It's much better to spend your time and energy trying to put forth the best case possible.


In my opinion, the two biggest factors in winning a disability claim are usually:
